Vaccines
Vaccines:
Local Production, Global Standards
Vaccines are among the most effective tools for preventing infectious diseases, saving millions of lives each year.
However, Africa still relies heavily on imported vaccines, which can limit access, affordability, and rapid response during disease outbreaks.
VAi is committed to building regional vaccine manufacturing capacity while maintaining global quality standards. Our vaccine pipeline focuses on both essential vaccines and next-generation vaccine technologies designed to address diseases that place a high burden on African populations.
Advanced Vaccine Platforms
We are developing vaccines using modern technologies including:
- mRNA platforms for rapid response to emerging pathogens
- Viral vector technologies for diseases such as Ebola and Lassa Fever
- Recombinant and subunit vaccine technologies for scalable and safe production
Essential Vaccine Production
In addition to next-generation vaccines, we are enabling the local manufacturing of high-demand vaccines, including:
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
By strengthening local manufacturing capacity, VAi aims to improve vaccine security, accelerate outbreak response, and support sustainable public health systems across Africa.
